Deadline just reported that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘s Abigail Cowen will be starring as Bloom, in the upcoming Netflix live action series ‘Fate: The Winx Club Saga‘, which is based on the animated Italian series ‘Winx Club‘. Filming will start very soon in Ireland, with Brian Young (The Vampire Diaries) serving as showrunner and executive producer.
Fate: The Winx Club Saga follows the coming-of-age journey of five unlikely friends attending Alfea, a magical boarding school in the Otherworld where they must learn to master their magical powers while navigating love, rivalries and the monsters that threaten their very existence.
Cowen stars as Dorcas on the hit Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and will also star in next year’s I Still Believe, next to K.J. Apa.
Winx Club is one of the most successful animated series in Europe and has had a spin off series on Netflix in 2016 – ‘World of Winx‘.
